This year, the Legionaries of Christ Novitiate welcomes 57% more candidates than last year — a true sign of God’s grace at work.
What a year of blessings!
• 27 new priests ordained
• 9 new novices welcomed
• 202 young men visited our seminary from August 2024 to September 2025
While this is wonderful news, our Vocation Office is not resting! Currently, 98 young men are actively working with a Vocation Director or a Legionary priest to discern how God is uniquely calling them to serve.

Camp River Ridge celebrates 20 years of adventure, encounter, and community
Nestled in the Indiana countryside, Camp River Ridge is a year-round Regnum Christi youth and family camp owned by the Legionaries of Christ, dedicated to serving the needs of ECYD Youth, RC localities and apostolates, and other organizations as they are accompanied and formed within the Regnum Christi charism. This July, Camp River Ridge celebrated its 20th anniversary with a family picnic that brought together family, friends, volunteers, supporters, and former campers to celebrate two decades of providing a safe and adventurous environment for people to encounter Christ through nature, community, and the Eucharist. The seed of what would become Camp River Ridge was planted during the first boys’ summer campout at Tom and Barb Weisbrod’s residence and ranch in Milan, IN, in June of 1997. Fr. Legionaries of Christ Assigned the Basilica of Old St. Pat’s in New York City
In the heart of Lower Manhattan stands the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral—a witness to over two centuries of New York’s Catholic story. Earlier this month, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, head of the Archdiocese of New York, entrusted the historic Basilica, known fondly as Old St. Pat’s, to the Legionaries of Christ. On August 15th, Fr. Daniel Ray, LC, was appointed as pastor, with support from the Legionaries of Christ community in Rye, NY. Fr. Daniel’s official installation will occur on Sunday, October 19th. “We’re really honored that Cardinal Dolan would entrust the care of the basilica to us.” Says Fr. Daniel, who hopes to put the charism of Regnum Christi at the service of the parish in an even deeper way, making the church a home for the RC mission in Manhattan.
